any other skill, you get better at it as you practice it.
But, just like any other skill, living your life and
achieving your dreams is a little easier with some expert
help. A life coach can work with you to help you make better
decisions and live the life you want.

Sure, living your life seems easy enough. After all, isn't
that why you're here? But everyone struggles, aims for goals
and misses them, and makes mistakes. No one's perfect. If
life came easy for everyone, there wouldn't be life coaches
in the first place!

Some people think there's a stigma attached to hiring a life
coach, but it's really no different than getting a mentor in
any other area. You wouldn't hesitate to hire a golf pro to

Let's face it - life is difficult. Sometimes you need a

1. Make sure you're really willing to move forward.

Hiring a life coach does you no good if you aren't willing
to listen to him or her! Lots of people are frustrated with
their lives, but not all of them are ready to make a change

you're willing to follow his or her advice and do the
necessary work to change your life.

2. Don't think of life coaching as therapy.

A life coach isn't a therapist. Your life coach will look
towards the future - not the past. He or she won't help you
heal old wounds or work through past issues. Instead, he or
she will help you assess where you are right now and help
you move forward with the rest of your life.

3. Look for a life coach that specializes in an area that's
right for you.

Life coaches are not one-size-fits-all. Different life
coaches specialize in different things. One may focus on
personal growth, while another may focus on career goals.
Depending on what area you need some help with, there's a
life coach that can meet your specific needs.

4. Look for a life coach that's going to help you make
decisions.

After all, that's what most people struggle with - making
the right decisions. Lots of people refuse to make tough
decisions or can't even see which decisions need to be made.
A good life coach can help you sort everything out, while
also pointing you in a direction that helps you achieve your
dreams.

5. Don't be afraid to spend money.

You work hard for it... now go out and put it to good use!
Life coaches aren't free. In many cases, they aren't even
cheap. But, if you're really stuck in a rut and you need
help getting out of it, consider it money well spent.

However, that doesn't mean you need to bankrupt yourself to
hire a life coach. There are plenty of great coaches out
there who can help you - without charging you an arm and a
